... was born in a small shop on Eisenhower Avenue, in 1992, because I just couldn’t find a place where you could get good lunch food every day.

Normal food, like turkey sandwiches, or roast beef that didn’t have all that fat in it, homemade soups, full of chicken and flavor, things to bring home for dinner, and desserts that actually had real stuff in them, like butter and chocolate.

Mancini’s has moved from that tiny spot to its present location on Mt. Vernon Avenue, in the Del Ray section of Alexandria, and not only do we continue to serve wonderful lunches, but we have expanded to include hot breakfast with specials on the weekends and now dinners, that in my opinion, are the cat’s meow. Come in and see for yourself.

Our food is prepared daily, right here. We make everything from scratch; and our desserts are baked on premises…most people just don’t believe it.

In addition to hot breakfast, lunch, and dinner, we offer:

• take-out service for all our meals,
• pick up platters for your working lunch or casual get togethers,
• freshly-made pastries and breads,
• full-service catering, with staff, rentals and food available for your special event, and
• specialty cakes for birthdays, weddings, and anniversary or farewell parties.
